The National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) Training for Hospital and Healthcare Personnel will be offered at no cost to all participants and facility. This training meets ICS 100, ICS 200 and ICS 700 requirements.
This program, presented by Area Health Education Center of Southern Nevada, is designed for physicians, nurses, EMTs, and other health care practitioners. At its conclusion, participants will be able to:
- Describe the Hospital Incident Command System;
- Discuss NIMS compliance methodologies;
- Identify the role of the Emergency Management Program in disaster response;
- Explain the role of HICS/NIMS in the hospital/clinic environment; and
- Apply HICS principles in an exercise.
