Project Prevent

Project Prevent is an innovative outreach initiative that provides a comprehensive curriculum to prepare students for a workforce equipped to address diverse community needs. Our Community Health Advocates work closely with each host organization—whether a school site or a community-based organization—to ensure seamless implementation. We collaborate to align Project Prevent with existing programs, schedules, and priorities, enhancing its impact while complementing the organization's goals and planning efforts.

Reach Out and Revitalize Rural

Reach Out and Revitalize Rural (ROARR) offers the same comprehensive curriculum as Project Prevent but is specifically designed for rural students. This dynamic 5-module program introduces students to a wide range of healthcare careers, provides insight into the inner workings of the healthcare system, develops research skills, and empowers students to advocate for themselves within healthcare settings. Implementation is tailored to fit the needs of each school or community organization, ensuring alignment with local priorities. Our team provides hands-on mentorship and structured support, guiding students as they explore health and healthcare pathways, equipping them with the knowledge and resources to successfully enter the healthcare workforce.

The Healthcare System

This lesson provides an in-depth introduction to the healthcare system, exploring its structure, costs, and common barriers to access. Students will develop a deeper understanding of the complexities within healthcare, including critical topics such as health literacy and effective communication. Through this module, they will begin to analyze the interconnected components that shape patient care and healthcare delivery.
