I am the Program Coordinator, representing our Nevada Cultural Competency department at High Sierra AHEC. Born in Las Vegas, but raised locally, as I’ve lived in Reno, Nevada, since the age of one. Growing up, I have always been drawn to healthcare; while striving to become a doctor in high school, the COVID-19 pandemic introduced me to the importance and complexities of public health. This passion has stuck with me ever since, as I completed Bachelors in Public Health and Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2025. Throughout college, I joined volunteer organizations focused on providing quality time and resources to marginalized populations. I’m highly committed to expanding the reach of public health and the opportunity to make health equity a reality for all individuals.

My journey with High Sierra AHEC began as a Health Equity Intern in early 2025. Through my internship and now serving as the Program Coordinator, I have the opportunity to improve healthcare education, access, and quality through a health equity lens. I am committed to promoting equity by fostering cultural competency and cultural humility among healthcare professionals and the communities we serve across Nevada.

When I’m not working, you can find me rock climbing, baking, enjoying Tahoe, or spending time with my friends and family.
