About The PROGRAM
Nevada State regulation NRS 449.103 states that all Nevada-licensed health facilities must provide cultural competency training biennially and within 90 days of hire for certain caregiving staff who are not exempted by the statutory requirements.
In accordance with NRS 449, AB 267, and AB 327, Nevada Cultural Competency (NVCC) has developed and published the Self-Paced Nevada Cultural Competency Training. This comprehensive training, developed by High Sierra AHEC public health professionals, has been created to foster humility and proactive quality care for patients in Nevada.
