Hi everyone! My name is Ishika, and I am a Workforce Support Intern at High Sierra AHEC.
I was born and raised in Northern Nevada and moved to Reno to continue my education. I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Master of Public Health, with an emphasis in Health Administration and Policy, from the University of Nevada, Reno.
I am passionate about improving health outcomes in Nevada communities through health programming, policy, and education. My experience includes public health research, health data analysis, community outreach, and health policy analysis through internships with the Nevada Public Health Institute and Children's Advocacy Alliance.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to pop music, and shopping.
I am dedicated to supporting initiatives that strengthen Nevada’s healthcare workforce and expand opportunities for underserved communities, including those similar to the one where I grew up. I am excited to be part of such a talented team and an amazing organization, and I look forward to contributing to High Sierra AHEC’s mission.
