Amy Fleming has joined High Sierra AHEC as the Interim Workforce Development Coordinator, where she supports initiatives to strengthen Nevada’s healthcare workforce pipeline. She is an experienced workforce development strategist with a passion for fostering collaboration between education, industry, and community organizations.
Amy has led major workforce initiatives across Northern Nevada, specializing in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and grant management. Previously, she worked with Nevadaworks, leading regional sector partnerships and developing programs to address critical talent shortages. She also served as a Strategic Planning and Economic Development Project Researcher at the University of Nevada, Reno’s University Center for Economic Development, developing strategies to drive regional economic growth.
She brings extensive experience in managing federal and state grants, launching public-private partnerships, and driving workforce innovation. Amy holds a degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and is deeply committed to creating lasting impact in her community. Beyond her professional work, she is active in Northern Nevada’s arts community, serving as the Musical Director of High Desert Harmony Chorus. Amy loves living in Reno with her husband and two young daughters.
