Throughout my professional career, first as a Program Coordinator and the Community Engagement Specialist for High Sierra AHEC, and now as the Community Engagement Manager, my efforts have been focused on cultivating a strong program culture focused on bolstering a robust and accessible healthcare workforce in urban and rural settings. Moreover, in my role, I look forward to the opportunity to continue fostering mutually beneficial relationships with students, employers, and partners to ensure patients in Nevada receive tailored and compassionate care that is responsive to their needs and the needs of their communities. I am committed to my community’s progress and healthcare access and will continue to work closely with partners to help liaise between community-based organizations and health entities serving urban and rural communities in Northern Nevada.
As the Community Engagement Manager, I strive to champion High Sierra AHECs' workforce and access-driven initiatives and programming and to collaborate with a team of professionals committed to serving our community. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2023, and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media and a minor in GRI studies with an emphasis in Latinx Studies.
