About the event
Per Senate Bill 222, all state departments, divisions, and agencies that interact or communicate with minority groups -- which include marginalized racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities, and people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex or any other nonheterosexual or cisgender orientation -- or offers programs and services that affect the groups identified above, must designate, to the extent practicable a Diversity and Inclusion Liaison (DIL). The primary role of the DIL is to function as a point of contact between their respective state entities and members of the minority group or minority-serving organizations (MSO) and ensure culturally responsive services are provided and made accessible to minority groups.
