About the event
The University of Nevada, Reno State Office of Rural Health (UNR SORH) and Nevada Rural Hospital Partners (NRHP) will be hosting an inspiring afternoon dedicated to celebrating rural health and the power of community. This year, they will honor three exceptional healthcare providers from rural Nevada, all recipients of the Nevada Health Service Corps. Their dedication to rural medicine and their patients makes a lasting impact on their communities.
Honorees:
Kaleb Wargow, MD – South Lyon Medical Center, Smith Valley, NV
Ivy Spadone, PA – UNR Physician Studies Program, Reno, NV
William Katschke, MD – Grover C. Dils Medical Center, Caliente, NV (Recipient of the Community Star Award)
The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Jed R. Hansen, Ph.D., APRN, FNPC, Executive Director of the Nebraska Rural Health Association, delivering his talk, "I Love Rural Health."
