This year’s Ace Ball Fundraiser was a grand slam, and it’s all thanks to you! Together, we stepped up to the plate, embraced the spirit of baseball, and showed how its lessons mirror the work we do every day to improve health access and education across Northern Nevada.

Every At-Bat Counts

In baseball, no two at-bats are the same. Players face new pitches, adjust their stance, and learn from each swing. This year’s Ace Ball proved just that: with your support, we’ve turned challenges into opportunities, expanded outreach to rural communities, mentored future healthcare professionals, and introduced innovative training tools.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Baseball may celebrate individual heroes, but victories are earned by the team. The success of Ace Ball reflects our mission, to increase access to healthcare and strengthen Nevada’s healthcare workforce, and the power of collaboration. Schools, community partners, employers, funders, and attendees all played a vital role in making this event such a success. Thank you!

Facing Curveballs with Resilience

Every player knows the challenge of a well-thrown curveball. Life, and public health, throws its own curveballs too. With your help, High Sierra AHEC is ready to meet those challenges with resilience, creativity, and commitment, ensuring continuity and growth even when the game changes.

Rounding the Bases Toward a Healthier Nevada

Just as scoring a run requires moving from base to base, our work progresses step by step. Thanks to the support from Ace Ball, we’re continuing to help students gain exposure, build skills, earn certifications, and ultimately enter the healthcare workforce ready to serve. Each “base” we round represents a milestone toward stronger, healthier communities, especially in underserved and rural areas.
